Workshop & Capabilities
One workshop.
Coordinated capability.
Westforge Works operates fabrication, surface preparation and coating as one connected capability rather than three separate providers. This page describes how the workshop operates and how projects flow through it.
Workshop overview
Westforge operates fabrication, surface preparation and coating from one coordinated workshop, so components can move between fabrication, preparation and coating without being handed to multiple providers.
Fabrication & metalwork
Steel, stainless steel and aluminium fabrication — MIG welding, TIG welding, plasma cutting, guillotining and sheet cutting, metal bending, tube bending, pressings and flashings where suitable, plus assembly, repairs and modifications. Specific machine and capacity details are confirmed at scoping.
Surface preparation capability
Abrasive blasting for the preparation of steel and metal components. Suitability for individual jobs is confirmed at quote against component size, condition and handling.
Coating capability
Westforge's coating capability includes powder coating as a core speciality, painted and protective systems, and selected specialist coating applications for project-specific requirements such as anti-corrosion and thermal-protection systems. Practical product trials are available where relevant. Colour, gloss level, coating system and cure are confirmed at quote.
Material handling
Handling method is confirmed against the component before work begins. Send dimensions and weight where these are relevant to safe movement in the workshop.
Project workflow
Enquiry → assess → quote → schedule → fabricate / prepare / coat → quality check → collection or delivery. Coordinated in the workshop so each stage is scheduled around the job.
Quality checks
Practical visual and dimensional checks at appropriate stages. Specific inspection, thickness or certification requirements are agreed at quote where they apply.
Safety approach
Practical workplace safety focused on the actual work being done — component handling, blasting isolation, coating extraction and appropriate PPE.
Collection & delivery
Collection and delivery are arranged on a project-by-project basis. Confirm your preferred option at quote.
Site work
Site work is available on a limited basis subject to scope, access and safety review. Confirm at enquiry whether the work is workshop-based or on-site.
Specific workshop specifications — booth size, oven size, lifting capacity and equipment detail — are confirmed at scoping to match the actual requirements of each project.
