What Information Should You Provide for a Specialist Coating Trial?
Westforge Works · Reviewed 2026-08-21
Short answer
Describe the substrate, the coating product or system involved, the service environment, what you are trying to establish, and any data sheets or application instructions you hold. That is enough for Westforge to assess suitability.
What to send
The more specific the request, the more useful the assessment.
- The substrate and its condition
- The coating product, system or method involved
- Product data sheets and application instructions
- The intended service environment
- What outcome you are trying to establish
- Quantity or sample size available for the trial
- Any constraints — temperature, cure time, handling
What happens next
We assess the requirement against what can practically and safely be carried out in our workshop, then agree a limited trial scope where appropriate.
Limitations worth noting
- Suitability is assessed individually and some requests will not be appropriate.
- Practical observations are reported; laboratory analysis is not offered.
