Powder Coating & Protective Coatings

Durable finishes.
Built to last in service.

Westforge provides durable coating solutions for commercial components, fabricated products, industrial equipment and selected residential items.

Overview

Powder coating provides a hard-wearing, uniform finish that suits a wide range of commercial and industrial components — from fabricated frames and brackets through to gates, guards and equipment parts.

Where a project needs more than a decorative finish, protective coating systems can be specified to help resist corrosion, wear or specific service environments. Suitability is confirmed against the component, environment and expected life.

Coating is coordinated with in-house surface preparation so parts move cleanly from blast to coat without contamination or delay.

How the process works

A practical, coordinated approach.

01

Scope & colour

Confirm the component, intended finish, colour and coating environment.

02

Prepare

Blast and clean to a suitable profile for adhesion.

03

Mask

Protect threads, machined faces and areas that must remain uncoated.

04

Coat

Apply the selected powder or protective coating system.

05

Cure

Cure the coating to manufacturer guidance for the product used.

06

Inspect & release

Visual finish check, then packaging or handover.

Quality & inspection

Inspection checkpoints and workmanship standards.

  • Coating selected for the component, environment and intended use
  • Preparation coordinated with coating to reduce contamination risk
  • Visual finish inspection before release
  • Careful handling and packaging to protect the finish
  • Clear communication where a request needs revised specification

Frequently asked

Common questions.

Can you match a specific colour?+

We work from standard powder ranges. Provide a colour reference and we'll confirm the closest suitable option before proceeding.

Do you certify coating thickness or performance?+

Standard work is quality-checked visually. Specific thickness, adhesion or performance certification is only offered where scoped and confirmed in writing at quote stage.

Can you coat aluminium?+

Aluminium is coated on a case-by-case basis subject to profile and preparation suitability. Send photos and details for review.

Do you accept batch and one-off work?+

Yes. Both are common. Batch pricing is confirmed on volume; one-off pricing on component review.
