Custom Manufacturing & Project Support
Custom metalwork.
Built to the requirement.
Westforge supports commercial and industrial customers with custom metalwork, one-off components, prototypes, small production runs and drawing-based fabrication.
Overview
Not every project fits a catalogue. Westforge works from drawings, samples, sketches or a clear description to produce components and assemblies that suit the actual requirement.
Work covers one-off items, prototype support, small production runs and repeat batches where volume and specification are practical to schedule.
We provide practical fabrication input where helpful, but do not offer certified professional engineering services. Where a project requires engineered design, load calculation or formal sign-off, we work alongside appropriately qualified engineering arrangements confirmed at scoping.

How the process works
A practical, coordinated approach.
Brief
Share drawings, samples or a description of what you need and how it's used.
Review
Confirm feasibility, materials, finish, tolerance expectations and lead time.
Quote
Provide a clear scope, price and any assumptions.
Fabricate
Complete the work and coordinate any surface preparation or coating.
Check
Visual and dimensional check against the agreed scope.
Handover
Package, deliver or arrange collection.
Quality & inspection
Inspection checkpoints and workmanship standards.
- Clear scope confirmation before fabrication starts
- Practical tolerance approach — confirmed at quote where critical
- Visual and dimensional check against agreed drawings or samples
- Coordinated finishing where the scope includes coating
- Direct communication where a request needs to change to work reliably
Frequently asked
Common questions.
Do I need drawings to get a quote?+
No. A photo, sketch, sample or good description is usually enough to start. We'll ask for anything else we need.
Can you handle small production runs?+
Yes — small runs and repeat batches are practical where the specification and volume suit our workshop schedule.
Do you offer engineering design or certification?+
We offer fabrication and practical project support. Certified engineering design, calculations and sign-off are only provided where appropriately qualified engineering arrangements are confirmed at scoping.
Can you fabricate from an existing part or sample?+
Yes. Reverse-engineering from a physical sample or an existing part is a common way to start a custom job.
